The landline phone at the Town Garage has been replaced with a Highway department cell phone, thanks to voters who approved this change at the June 2025 meeting. While we were unable to transfer the original garage number (207) 392-3602 to the cell phone, we were able to get an Andover extension (207) 392-5063. Please update your contacts to this new number.
The cell phone will allow the Road Commissioner and Highway employee(s) to respond to citizens, receive text messages and emails sent to arc@andovermaine.gov throughout the work day and to respond to calls sooner. It will also serve as a safety tool in the event of an emergency and allow the Road Commissioner to take photographs of events or situations that need to be recorded.
Per had allowed citizens to call his personal phone until this phone was activated but respectfully asks that moving forward citizens and business call or text the Town Highway cell phone.
