Welcome to Andover, Maine

Nestled in the beautiful Western Mountains of Maine, Andover is in close proximity to many water sources, making it an enjoyable place to visit during the summer months. Our main source is the Ellis River, which flows under one of the oldest covered bridges still being used regularly right off Rte 5 leading into town. Swimming, fishing, camping and tubing are favorite activities along this river. Richardson Lake (20 minute drive) is known for its pristine beaches and boating while Roxbury Pond (10 minute drive) offers a family public beach and easy access to kayaking and fishing. Andover also is just minutes away from White Cap Mountain, known for its blueberries and 360 degree views of the River Valley. The Appalachian Trail is near by and Andover is a popular stop over point for hikers who are ready for a few days of ‘slack packing’.

Beyond the water and mountains we are home to the Andover Earth Station! Learn more about Andover’s history and local attractions by clicking here.
