Permits, Applications, and Licenses
- Building Permit – we are awaiting updates to the attached Permit Application, if you need a permit before the next Planning Board meeting (1st and 3rd Monday’s of the month, excluding holidays) contact the Code Enforcement Officer at (207) 392-3302, select Ext 7/ email codeenforcement@andovermaine.gov and leave your name and contact information OR you may print and provide to Planning Board for review. - Burn Permit or State Fire Permit – online or at your local fire department
- CMP Utility Pole Request Form 1190 – online only
- Dog Licenses are due 12/31 annually for all dogs 6 months and older. Proof of current rabies vaccination is required to register a dog. A grace period extends until January 31st and thereafter, late fees apply
- Fishing and Hunting License – MOSES web site
- Plumbing Permit print and provide to Planning Board – Email: planningboard@andovermaine.gov or CEO codeenforcement@andovermaine.gov. Chair Sidney Pew or call (207) 890-6007; Tim Johnson, Code Enforcement Officer (CEO) – call the Town Office and select Option 6 to leave audix message

- Application for Exemption from Local Property Taxation for institutions and organizations
Register a Motor Vehicle On-line
- ATV or Snowmobile
- Boat
- Motor Vehicle, Trailer or Camper – Titles for a vehicle must be signed over to the new buyer(s) listed on the Bill of Sale by the owner and the new owner(s) must sign the title in the appropriate spaces on the form in order to register the vehicle
- First time registrations can only be processed in person at the Town Office by the owner(s) listed on the title, no exceptions allowed
Apply for Vital Record or file a form…
- Request a copy of Vital Records – Plan ahead as processing requires at least a one working day for documents to be prepared and certified for pick up
- Marriage Intentions (intentions application) – both parties need to be present to sign at time of filing an Intentions to Marry form; Maine Requirements link
- Marriage Certificate copies – print a request form or available at the Town Office
- Birth Certificate copies – facts related to birth certificates – print a request form or available at the Town Office
- Death Certificate copies – print a request form or they are available at the Town Office

Transfer Station
Hours of operation at the Transfer Station are Tuesday, 12 – 4 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Sunday 7 a.m. to 12 p.m
A visible Andover Transfer Station sticker is required for entry and disposing of waste products and materials originating from within the Town of Andover. Stickers and issued at the Andover Town Office during normal business hours.
Property tax owners are entitled to one sticker. Renters may request a sticker with proof of a long term renter’s contract or lease in their name provided by property owner
Fees for bulk items can be pre-paid at the Town Office and/or correct change accepted by Station Attendants.
If issued a bill for bulk items, person leaving the item is required to pay for item at the Town Office the next business day. (The Transfer Station supervisor leaves a copy with the Office.)

How to Report…
- Domestic animal complaints – call dispatch (207) 743-4259 to file a complaint or request for Andover, Maine. Dispatch will call the Andover Control Officer to respond to your request for assistance
- Streetlight Outage to CMP – provide pole number when reporting.
- Wild animal complaints – call the Game Warden service for a warden to be dispatched
