Thanks to our voters who funded the multi-use courts being repaved to allow for recreation pm these courts again! Recreation Committee members and Dirk MacKnight stepped up quickly and have made it possible for folks to learn the sport of Pickleball. Dirk, an avid player, offers free lessons on Tuesday’s at 4:30 p.m. seasonally. If you would like to join the organized fun, please message Dirk or a Recreation member to get the app being used to sign up to play with others.
As part of the Andover Community Park Committee survey follow-up, the Recreational Committee were active in attaining three beautiful wooden swings now located at the courts, near Akers Way, and at the 4-corners thanks to landowner agreements to host. Trying out one of the new benches shown above are Rec members Carol Emery, Mary Cloutier, and Claire Sessions.
